Building a custom home is one of the most significant undertakings a family can pursue. We treat it that way. Ben Logan has refined this process over twenty years on the plateau, a process built on honest communication, real craftsmanship, and the kind of attention that only comes from a builder who has worked in these mountains his entire life.
Discovery
Every Logan home begins with a conversation, not about square footage or finishes, but about how you live, what you value, and what the land is asking for. We walk the site together. We read the ridge. We understand the view before a single line is drawn.
Ben's lifelong familiarity with the Cashiers-Highlands plateau means he knows how mountain weather moves, where water runs, and how a home's orientation affects everything from morning light to winter performance. That knowledge shapes every decision that follows.
Design
We work in close partnership with your architect, or can recommend architects we trust, to develop plans that are not only beautiful but truly buildable. Many designs look elegant on paper and reveal their difficulties only once construction begins. We eliminate that gap early.
Value engineering, material selection, and structural planning happen in this phase, before costs are locked in. Our goal is a set of plans that reflects your vision precisely and can be executed to the highest standard without surprise.
Construction
Our crews have worked together for years. That continuity is not incidental; it is foundational to quality. A job site where the same people have built homes alongside one another for a decade runs cleanly, communicates honestly, and holds itself to a standard that comes from pride in the work, not just the contract.
Ben is present throughout the build. Not as a figurehead who signs off on milestones, but as the person who notices when a detail is off before it becomes a problem. Every subcontractor we engage meets the same standard we hold ourselves to.
Handover
Before you receive the keys, we conduct a thorough walk of every system, every surface, and every detail. Any item that does not meet our standard is resolved, not negotiated around. We want you to move into a finished home.
Our relationship does not end at closing. We stand behind the work we build and remain available to our clients long after they have settled in. Many of our strongest relationships are with families whose homes we completed years ago. That continuity is something we take seriously.
